Jack Laughlin
Jack Laughlin has been with Laughlin Racing Products since its early beginnings. Jack grew up working in his father's garage. He started out washing tools when he was five and was helping to build motors by the time he was twelve. Throughout high school, Jack was active in the local drag racing scene. Even while serving in Vietnam, Jack was modifying and racing Jeeps.
In the early 1970's Jack became involved in dirt track racing around the Augusta, Georgia area. Jack built cars and engines for three track champions during this time. In the late 1970's Jack moved to the Greenville area and merged his business with his brother Mike's. Since that time Jack has been an integral part of Laughlin's on-going tradition of quality and innovation.
Tony Burgess
Tony Burgess has had a lifelong love of racing. Tony began racing Motocross at age six. Since then, he has been involved in almost every aspect of racing, including the Winston Racing Series, Southern All-Star Series, NASCAR All-Pro Series, ARCA, NASCAR Sportsman Series, and NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division.
Tony has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and has completed courses at the General Motors Training Center in Charlotte, NC. Tony began his NASCAR Busch Series career during the 1995 season. He has experience in many motorsports areas, from Tire Changer to Engine Specialist to Chief Mechanic. He has been Chief Mechanic and Engine Specialist for both Laughlin Racing Products and Andretti/Laird Racing. He has also been an engine specialist for Stegall Motorsports. In his time on the Busch Series, Tony has worked with such notable drivers as Kyle Petty, John Andretti, Greg Sacks, and Roberto Guerrero.
Dr. Larry Brotherton
Larry Brotherton learned hard work growing up on a farm in the mountains of eastern Tennessee. He applied his work ethic by putting himself through college and earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry. In 1980 he started his own custom synthesis company, Ortec, Inc. Today, Ortec employs over 130 people at two plant sites located in upstate South Carolina. Dr. Brotherton has now taken his love of motorsports and combined it with his penchant for success. "I believe in being competitive in everything we do," said Dr. Brotherton. "In the end, whether it's in motorsports, or anything else in life, success takes drive."
